SHERINGHAM SIGNS FOR A SEASON WITH VC POKER

Football legend caps record breaking year joining Victor Chandler as official Poker Ambassador

Gaming conglomerate Victor Chandler announced today that Premiership Football legend Teddy Sheringham has signed on as the official Ambassador for the company’s VC Poker brand. Continuing a record setting year where Sheringham set new standards as only the second outfield player in the Premiership to play past his 40th birthday, the agreement will see the football star testing his poker skills both online and off in a series of tournaments promoting the popular poker site. Whilst Sheringham downplays speculation that professional poker beckons beyond his retirement from football, he does acknowledge his competitive zeal for the world’s fastest growing game.

“I love playing in the top poker tournaments. On a mental level, it’s every bit as demanding as top flight football competition and I’m looking forward to playing in the bigger tournaments that VC Poker has arranged. It’s a great opportunity to meet the fans and have a bit of fun on the tables.”
